About
Solo traveller. Sports enthusiast. Remote worker. Author-in-progress. I build a life in balance while seeking discomfort — and I write about all of it.
My Story
I'm Anca — a solo female traveller, sports lover, and remote worker who decided that waiting for the "right time" to travel was the worst plan I'd ever had.
I started travelling solo in 2024 and haven't really stopped since. What began as a one-way ticket to Madeira turned into a full lifestyle — finding remote work opportunities, landing in cities which might have names I couldn't pronounce, hiking trails for which I was probably not prepared for, and meeting people who changed how I see everything.
This website is where I document the real side of that life — not just the sunset shots, but the wrong buses, the solo dinners, the times I was scared, and the moments that made every bit of it worth it and how everything turns out to happen for a reason.
Travel stories with voiceover so you can listen while you walk. A solo female travel section dedicated to honest, practical guides. A destinations map of everywhere I've been. And soon — my first book, Count to 5 and Go, a personal account of what happens when you start discovering the world.
Travel and sport are inseparable for me. I hike, I dive, I cycle with great enthusiasm, and I believe that pushing your body in new places is one of the fastest ways to know yourself better.
I work remotely while travelling — and I'll share bits on how I'm doing that. Freelancing, contracts, platforms, managing time zones, finding decent Wi-Fi: all of it is on the blog.
